Ridge 4 Months

Ridge man turned 4 months old on the 15th, its crazy how fast he is growing. I keep thinking that he is so big that was until we went to his Dr. appt on monday. He weighs 13 lbs 10 oz which is the 25% and 25" which is in the 50%. We have a tall string bean that we LOVE so much! He has been such a special blessing in our lives! He sure is such a happy baby boy and lights up our lives daily!! His big brothes also love him sooooo much! They are getting alot better about holding him now however they are still hesitant. They say its cuz he is to little still and likes to puke to much!!! I cant wait ( well i can but..) until he gets old enough to play with the boys. When logan was gone he would write to us about how he couldnt wait to play with the Tonka Trucks in the sandbox with his baby brother!! I have some new pictures on my phone so will post those soon! So long for now!oh btw he did awesome with his shots too!!

Meet Dougas!

We have been looking for awhile for a wooby for Ridge, but we have not been able to find one that we liked. Well over the weekend when we were in Twin Falls we stopped at a toy store and my mom found this one! He loves it and it fits him perfectly! The name on the tag is Douglas so that is where Dougas came from! He is growing so fast and is so DARN cute!! We love him to pieces!

We are so proud of him! He comes home in 2 days and we cant wait!! We are so excited for him to finally get to meet Ridge and see the rest of the family. Its a bummer that his flight doesnt get into pocatello until 11pm on Saturday but thats ok!! He has changed so much!!

Life has been crazy around our house lately with me having to go back to work. Poor Ridge is gettin shuffled to whoever can take him at the time. It has been especially bad the last couple of weeks because Drew has been working harvest and he doesnt get home until way late. Ridge had his 2 month check-up and his shots on Sept 15th. He did really well with his shots, well alot better then i expected he would do. I think it was worse for me :). He is growing so much, he weighed in at 11 lb 4 oz and was 23 inches long. We finally had to start putting away all or most of the newborn clothes that he had and it makes me soooooo sad. I love the stage he is in right now, he is really alert most of the time and he loves to stand. He is such a strong little man!!

Ridge will be 3 months on the 15th of this month and he is going to get the best present ever!! He gets to meet his big brother, Logan! Thats right he is coming home already. The time that he has been gone has flown by and we are so excited for him to finally get to meet Ridge. Logan has been doing really well and he is loving every minute of it. He made Grandma Lusks day on Sunday when he called and she got to talk to him for a few minutes. He isnt quite sure what he is going to do when he gets back hopefully find a job or go to school! We are praying for the later:) With the stuff that he has been doing in Alabama he could find a job working for CAT,Idaho Power or even the Railroad. I guess time will tell and we will see what happens! We are counting down the days! only 10 more!!!

Landon is doing super good too! He is working up at Jacksons gas station in Chubbuck and seems to be doing ok! He applied there because they will pay for some of his schooling if he is there long enough and gets good grades! They have been working his tail off thou and he is getting worn out pretty fast. They are having him cover other peoples shifts and last week he work 46+ hrs. Its all good thou cuz he is making some money to hopefully be able to buy a reliable car soon.

Drew and I are doing good too! Drew has got more irons in the fire then he knows what to do with right now. He took the two weeks that Snake River has off for harvest off to work in the harvest to be able to help with Christmas. When he goes back to working for the Sheriff Office then on his days off he is trying to get the camera system working out at the school. Plus all the honey dos i have lined up for him to do at home!!! Me well i am not enjoying being back at work and having to leave my baby behind, thank goodness we have family close to watch him. Im going on my 3rd week of being back and its not getting any easier. I am sure that it will in time but still dont like it much!!

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our newest nephew, Thad(spelling) Jerome who should be joining our family sometime the end of this month. Ridge definately wont have a shortage of cousins on the lusk side. Drews folks have,or will when the new guy gets here, 5 grandsons in 3 years. Plus Summer and Trent are having a boy in December and then Casey and Andrea a girl in Feb!! Plus he will have another cousin ( unknown what sex) in March! It will be so nice for him to be able to grow up with kids his age on both sides!!

Well this is the exciting news from the Lusks for now. I promise to update with new pictures soon! I have a bunch on my phone but they take forever to try and load. Well so long for now!! Enjoy the nice weather!!!

Ridge had his 2 week appt quite awhile ago and i wanted to put his stats on here so I wouldnt forget. He was 8lbs and 20 inches long. Then we had his 4 week appt and he was 9lb 1 oz and 20.7 inches. I am sure he is now over 10lbs as he eats like a horse and is growing like a weed!! Enjoy the new pictures!!

Thursday July 14th we went to our Dr appt,Dr Leavitt told us that he would be out of town the next week so he wanted us to go to the hospital that night to get induced.We arrived at the hospital around 730pm and they got me started. I was already having contractions but was not feeling any of them. To make a long story short after 22hrs of labor Dr.Leavitt decided we needed a c-section.Ridge was facing up and had the cord wrapped around his neck and it had a knot in it. So at 526pm on July 15th they took me into the the OR and at 533pm Ridge was born, He was 7lb 5oz and 19.5 inches long. We were able to come home on Monday and have enjoyed having him around our house!!

38 weeks!

38 WEEKS!! Let the countdown begin! We are getting so excited to have Ridge here. We can hardly wait (well mostly me, cant wait to be comfortable again!!)As of today we have 12 days until my due date. Hopefully i can convince the Dr. to induce me if he hasn't come by then!! Wish us luck!!

Busy Busy Busy!!

We have been so busy lately trying to get everything done before the baby comes that everything else is getting left in the dust!! First things first i guess, the beginning of May we sent Logan off to boot camp in GA. We finally got a letter from his earlier this week and he seems to be enjoying himself! He said that he was so glad the one day to wake up and see that their PT Field had flooded so they had a pretty relaxed day getting ready for the overnight stuff out in the woods. He is missing home and home cooked meals! He is especially missing the cold Mt.Dew! He will be in GA until July 18th, and then he will go to Alabama for AIT training.. From what we hear he should be home sometime in October.
Landon also finally made it hear to stay with us for the summer... Poor guy has been sleeping on the couch for the first little while because the bedroom he would normally use is full of the stuff from the babies room. Last night we finally got him a bed so he was pretty excited to be able to move around at night. He is still looking for a job for the summer, but he is hoping to get on with Jacksons gas station, apparently they will pay for some if not all of your tuition which would help immensely. He is hoping to be able to save up enough money this summer to buy a new car. The one he is driving now is I think on its last leg.
Drew of course is busy as usual, right now he is in the swing of getting school done for the year! They actually graduate tonight and then Drew jumps right into Marine and regular patrol for the summer. I imagine it is going to be a busy year for marine stuff with all of the water that we have right now! He went to MLE (marine academy) the first couple weeks of May over in Boise and was glad to be home! He really enjoys doing it but it is alot of work. As soon as he got home I put him to work working on the babies room. We finally got some paint on the walls over the weekend!!! We are hoping to get everything else done over Memorial weekend so we can be ready for carpet by the first of the month!! Lets keep our fingers crossed~!~
Drew also has quite a few other projects to keep him busy for the summer including building a shed and cutting down the rest of the cedar tree in the backyard.
As for me things are going good, can tell for sure that i am nearing the end of this pregnancy! I am in the middle of my 33rd week! Its hard to believe how fast this pregnancy has gone by, seems like just yesterday that we found out that we were pregnant to begin with!! We are also super excited for this baby to get here so we can finally see him! He is going to be way spoiled!! When Drew was over in Boise my mom, grandma and I went over for the weekend and went shopping. The baby got so so so so many cute clothes!! Besides the baby and him having lots of clothes he is going to be getting lots of cousins this year! Hal (kade & shancy) was born in January, then my cousin Amber is having a baby in July as well as this baby boy! AND... Seth and Hailey are pregnant and due in October!! Carolynne will have 5 grandbabies within 3 years! She couldnt be happier!~! As soon as i get my stupid camera to work i will post some pictures of the lastest things that are going on in our life!! Baby Update

Today we went to the doc for a regular check-up, nothing really exciting happened was able to hear the heartbeat again and it is still going strong!! The doc measured me and told me i was actually measuring 27inches and i am only 25 weeks.. augh. I hope that doesnt mean i am going to get huge! Lol The last few weeks i have been able to feel him move alot. It doesnt seem that it is any particular time during the day that he is more active then any other time but i have sure been enjoying feeling him move. Drew actually was able to feel him move the other night as well!!! We are trying to get his room finished before the end of May so keep your fingers crossed that it actually happens and we are not rushing with only a few weeks left. Things are going good with Logan and Landon. Logan is getting a little nervous about leaving in about 3 weeks for Basic Training. He has been staying busy between work and trying to get his jeep running. He spends alot of time with his buddies and not so much with us!! Lol. Landon is getting pretty excited about finishing this semester. He should be done the middle of May and is planning on moving in with us for the summer. We will see what happens cuz as of right now he doesnt have a bed!!:) He is getting more and more excited to have this baby here, in fact we all are. Drew spent some time on the internet last week making sure that they still made the good metal Tonka Trucks. Logan told Drew a few weeks ago that we couldnt get rid of the Legos and that we had to build the baby a sandbox so he could play with him when he gets bigger. We are getting closer the third trimester of this pregnancy and honestly for the most part I am feeling pretty good! I cant believe that it has gone by so fast already!! I will try to keep this blog updated a little better but no promises!!!

ITS A ____!!

Today was the day, we got to find out what our little of bundle of joy will be!! Everything looked great, we were able to hear the heartbeat again and got to see lots of pictures of him!! The US tech did tell us that right now the baby is breech which isnt a big deal right now. She also told us that the baby is measuring about a week small but again at this stage in the game that is not much to worry about either. Well obviously you can tell that we are having a BOY!We are soooo excited!! We will be 21 weeks on Monday and it seems like it has gone by so fast, it seriously feels like yesterday that we even found out that we were even pregnant!! Cant wait to snuggle this little baby boy!!

17 Weeks!!

Monday we had out 3rd Dr. Appt with Dr. Leavitt, this time he was able to hear the heartbeat with the machine that they have so they didnt need to do an US. They did draw blood to check my thyroid because when they checked at my last appt it was low, hopefully we will hear back on that soon. They scheduled my next US to hopefully be able to find out the sex of the baby!! We are so excited and it has come so fast.. They will do the US on March 3rd!!! CANT WAIT CAN U TELL WE ARE EXCITED!~!~!~!

Baby Update

We had our second appt yesterday! I was pretty excited to be able to hear the heartbeat of your little one, but the doc couldnt find it so they did an ultrasound just to make sure everything was good!! Everything looked awesome with the baby and it is growing like a weed. I would say that i have been pretty lucky as far as the pregnancy has gone,i have only been sick a couple of times and that was usually cuz i forgot to eat... So far I love being pregnant!!
